Gender Expression

Creative Brief

For my final project, I’m working with Dani on explaining the idea of gender expression and how it differs from and works with gender identity and sex. This seemed like a wonderful topic to cover not only because it follows in the same series as two of my previous projects, but also because it is a topic that is in many ways more complex and therefore requires more time to explain. While building off of the original aesthetic of these projects, I also hope to use my partnership with Dani as a way to bring more complex animations and a more robust style into this series while still maintaining its whimsical and ambiguous charm.

Story Boards

Dani and I got together and came up with what I think are some very wonderful boards. My pages ended up being more of a brainstorming mess, and Dani congealed our ideas into a workable and readable set of boards.
